How to Perform
  1. 1

Set a decline bench and hook your feet under the pads with your knees bent.

  2. 2

Lie back until your torso is in line with the bench, hands across your chest.

  3. 3

Curl up until your torso is close to your thighs.

  4. 4

Lower under control rather than dropping back.

Tips
  • Steepen the decline to make it harder before you start holding a plate.
  • Curl the spine up one segment at a time instead of hinging stiffly at the hips.
