Stair Climber
The revolving staircase. Harder on the glutes and quads than a treadmill at the same heart rate, with none of the impact.

How to Perform
- 1
Step on and start at a slow speed to find your rhythm.
- 2
Stand tall and take full steps rather than short choppy ones.
- 3
Rest your hands lightly on the rails, or not at all.
- 4
Build to your target pace and hold it, then cool down slowly.
Tips
- ★Leaning your weight on the handrails is the classic way to make this far easier than it looks.
- ★Full steps, whole foot on the step - toe-tapping cheats the glutes out of the work.
