Swimming
Laps in a pool. Full-body aerobic work with no impact at all, which makes it the fallback when something hurts to run on.

How to Perform
- 1
Warm up with a few easy lengths of your most comfortable stroke.
- 2
Settle into your target pace and count lengths or watch the clock.
- 3
Breathe on a regular rhythm rather than whenever you run out of air.
- 4
Cool down with a few easy lengths.
Tips
- ★Log distance in metres and the time it took - stroke count per length is the other number worth tracking.
- ★Rest intervals matter more here than on land; write down what you took.
